Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how UnitDime handles information when you use our website, accounts, educational tools, tests, analytics and school-connected services.

1. Who operates UnitDime

UnitDime is operated as a sole proprietorship by Ahsan Siraj Khan, based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, India.

2. Information we may collect

• name, email address and account identifiers;
• authentication and security information, including Google account identifiers when Google Sign-In is used;
• school, institution, class, batch, exam, subject, syllabus and role information;
• practice and test responses, scores, timing, progress, analytics and educational activity;
• content submitted by authorised users, such as questions, solutions or institution material;
• support, grievance and account-request communications;
• technical, session, device, security and diagnostic information reasonably needed to operate and protect UnitDime; and
• payment status, order and transaction references when paid services are enabled. UnitDime does not need to store full card or payment-instrument credentials handled by the payment provider.

3. How information is used

• to create, authenticate and secure accounts;
• to provide practice, tests, mock examinations, question-bank and study features;
• to calculate scores, progress, performance and educational analytics;
• to operate school and institution workflows and role-based permissions;
• to process purchases, activate entitlements and handle refunds where paid services are enabled;
• to respond to support, correction, deletion and grievance requests;
• to prevent abuse, investigate security incidents and maintain platform integrity; and
• to maintain, troubleshoot and improve UnitDime.

4. Google Sign-In

If you choose Google Sign-In, UnitDime may receive the basic identity information needed to authenticate your account, such as your name, email address and Google account identifier. UnitDime does not receive your Google password.

5. School and institution accounts

Where an account is provided, managed or connected by a school, authorised school personnel may access information relevant to the educational services they administer, such as assigned tests, attempts, responses, scores, progress and account status. UnitDime applies role-based access so users receive only the permissions intended for their role.

6. Younger users

UnitDime may be used by school students. Where applicable law requires parental, guardian, school or other lawful authorisation before particular personal data is processed, UnitDime will require the applicable authorisation or implement the required mechanism. UnitDime does not use children's personal data for targeted advertising and does not intentionally conduct behavioural monitoring of children for advertising purposes.

7. Sharing and service providers

UnitDime does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with authorised schools, infrastructure, authentication, security, communications, analytics or payment service providers only where reasonably necessary to operate the service, fulfil a transaction, comply with law or protect UnitDime and its users. Providers may process data in India or other countries depending on the infrastructure used, subject to applicable legal requirements.

8. Cookies and sessions

UnitDime uses cookies or similar technologies where necessary for authentication, session security, preferences and core platform functionality. We do not require advertising cookies to provide the core educational service.

9. Security

UnitDime uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards such as access controls, authentication, role-based permissions and operational security measures. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant account or educational service, contractual or school records, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance and appropriate backup processes. Retention periods may differ for direct-user and institution-managed accounts.

11. Your requests

You may contact UnitDime about access, correction, deletion or other privacy questions. Some information may need to be retained where there is a lawful, contractual, security or institutional reason to do so. For school-managed data, UnitDime may coordinate the request with the relevant school where appropriate.

12. Automated educational analytics

UnitDime may automatically calculate scores, accuracy, timing and performance indicators from educational activity. These are study-support tools and are not intended to make legal, employment, credit or similarly significant decisions.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as UnitDime, its infrastructure or legal requirements change. The current version will be published here with its effective date.
